At the end of 2017 we were approached by Chris Woods on behalf of the Keith Black Will Trust who wanted to donate his Colvic Countess 33 to Sail 4 Cancer. After considering whether to use her for our family sailing days it was eventually decided that the charity would get more benefit is she was sold and the funds used to give breaks to the many families on the waiting list.

Some thought-provoking notes from David Greenaway, founder of The Houseboat Centre and author of The Houseboat Book:
Neil Chapman, CEO and Founder of Boatshed.com awards the top prize of "Broker of the Year Award" to Angus Rose of Boatshed London. Angus and his team are Houseboat Specialists based in London, but he also operates Boatshed Thames and Boatshed Grand Union, which specialise in narrowboats and wide beam barges, and also sell yachts and motor cruisers.
The April auction is busier than ever with over 75 boats on offer.
Another thing we are committed to at Boatshed is reducing the costs of boat ownership for our customers. Boat buyers will, typically, spend about 20% of the price of a boat on necessary equipment, products and services within the first 12 months of ownership. This expenditure can be considerable and is often overlooked by other brokers. Our Preferred Partners Program is aimed at reducing this expenditure and thereby the overall cost of boat ownership for Boatshed customers.
